Coalitions & alliances

Collaboration fuels every campaign we lead. At Pacific Environment, we believe that collective power drives the most lasting change. That’s why we work side-by-side with grassroots leaders, Indigenous communities, and NGOs across the Pacific Rim to build bold coalitions across regions, sectors and borders.

From local waste-free initiatives to international treaty negotiations, our alliances help elevate frontline voices, mobilize movements and shape stronger environmental policy.

How we build coalitions

Pacific Environment plays a leadership role in more than 50 coalitions worldwide. We help form and support alliances guided by shared goals, local expertise, and a commitment to justice. We prioritize transparency, collective strategy, and long-term impact across our coalition work, including efforts that:

  • Advance climate justice and clean energy solutions

Supporting policies and initiatives that center equity while accelerating the transition to clean energy.

  • Tackle plastic pollution and push for global production caps

Driving systemic change to reduce plastic at its source and advance zero-waste solutions.

  • Support Indigenous coastal communities and protect Arctic ecosystems

Partnering with Indigenous leaders to defend rights, livelihoods and fragile ecosystems.

  • Hold polluting industries accountable

Challenging harmful practices at the local, national and international levels.

Partnering with environmental justice organizations for lasting change

Strategic collaboration drives every campaign we lead. Pacific Environment builds and participates in coalitions that protect communities, influence policy and advance global environmental justice. Together, we accelerate environmental solutions and innovations that are rooted in frontline leadership and designed for long-term impact.
